Order management, the webshop, the store app and now the till, on one engine. Omnium POS can be ordered now.

Omnium has launched Omnium POS, the last piece of Omnium Commerce. Customers saw it first at Insights by Omnium in Oslo on 13 October. Retailers can now run order management, their webshop, the store app and the till on one engine, with the same orders, stock, prices and campaigns in every channel.

When the till is a system of its own, it keeps its own copy of products, prices and stock, and every campaign is set up twice. Store staff feel it first: a customer comes in to collect a web order, return something bought online or ask for a size the website says is in stock, and the till doesn't know what the webshop knows.

Omnium POS is built on the store app retailers already use for click and collect, stock and returns, with payment added. Staff take card, cash and Vipps, issue receipts, and close the day with X and Z reports and SAF-T export built in. A customer can start a purchase online, continue with customer service and finish it at the counter on the same cart. It runs on Windows, Android and iOS, on terminals, tablets or phones.

Retailers don't have to change everything at once. Omnium can run behind the webshop and till a retailer has today, and each module can be added when it makes sense. The ERP stays where it is.

ARK, Norway's largest bookstore chain with more than 150 stores, already runs its orders on Omnium and is one of the first to choose Omnium POS.

“We started Omnium in 2017 to build a commerce platform for retail, with order management at its core. Our customers asked us for a webshop on the same engine, and then we took Omnium onto the shop floor. The till is the natural next step. With it, everything a retailer sells, online or at the counter, runs on one platform.”
Petter Balstad · CEO and co-founder, Omnium
“Retail has been built in silos: e-commerce, POS, back office, ERP, each with its own copy of the truth. A year ago Omnium was the back office behind the store. Now the till runs on Omnium too, and a campaign is set up once.”
